Take Colombia to Glory

“rhythm-and-verve attackers”

The press pack calls Colombia a team that dances even when defending, and files them as rhythm-and-verve attackers. The bookmakers put them in the contenders at 16/1 – 40/1.

Your spine, as your predecessor's notes describe it

In goal, Higuita, but he stays in his box (mostly). At the back, Yepes, but angrier. Running midfield, Valderrama, but the hair is somehow bigger. Up front, Asprilla, but predictable.

One World Cup, forty-odd decisions, no second leg. Pick the shape, name the squad, make the calls from the touchline, and see how far Colombia can go. Free to play, one sitting, no sign-up.
